The learning objectives for this session were:
1. Participants will gain an understanding of the varied dimensions of significance of historic properties and how these can factor into interpretation and planning.
2. Participants will be able to apply knowledge and skills to thinking broadly about different viewpoints of disparate groups to create more relevant approaches to preservation practices. For example, whose views prevail in the interpretation of a site valued by different people for different reasons?
3. Participants will learn about tools that are available to advance the consideration of multicultural historic properties and cultural sites.
4. Participants will evaluate techniques to solicit diverse perspectives and opinions about historic properties and cultural sites to make their stories more authentic and inclusive.
