The Wholesale Application Community (WAC) is a global cross Industry alliance which will provide a "one stop" service platform which allows developers to distribute their "apps" to a large number of application stores from a single point of entry. This platform will provide app signing, testing and settlement processes for the developer. WAC will act as a facilitator to enable developers to charge and be paid for consumed applications (price and terms to be based on a storefronts' business model). Apps will be based on standard technologies to ensure that they are available on a wide variety of devices. Furthermore, APIs which allow the apps to access device and network capabilities will be made available. The input you provide here will directly shape what and how this initiative will provide for developers.
