KP STAR Application - Fall 2010

1. Kaibigang Pilipino’s Student Teaching and Academic Retention Program

 1 / 9
Kaibigang Pilipino’s Student Teaching and Academic Retention (KP STAR) program is composed of three distinct and cohesive components which collectively aim to promote the growth and matriculation of the Pilipin@ community here at UCSD. The three components are the Kuya/Ate/Ading component, the Peer Counseling component and the Academic component. Through these components, KP STAR strives to strengthen the inner workings amongst its members, underscore its values of communication, support, retention and ultimately hopes to foster an inclusive and unified community within KP.

The KP STAR program requires you to be committed for the entire year; therefore it is important that you strongly consider your options and the responsibilities that come with each of them before you decide to participate in any of the three components.

Please consider the following dates/requirements when applying:
- Week 4, Saturday 6-8p: Kuya/Ate/Ading Mixer for potential Kuya/Ate/Ading pairings
- Week 4-7, Dates TBA: Class Dialogues
- Week 7, Sun 11:30a-5p: KP STAR Retreat

More details about these dates and requirements will be emailed to you after you fill out your application.
