Thank you for your interest in presenting at the MCSS Great Lakes Regional Social Studies Conference in 2014. MCSS is excited to announce an expanded schedule for the 2014 conference at the Sofitel Hotel, Bloomington, MN.

MCSS is hosting the Great Lakes Regional Social Studies Conference and is welcoming participants from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The expanded schedule includes a limited number of "clinic" breakout sessions on Sunday, March 2, 2014 in addition to a full day of sessions on Monday, March 3, 2014. Presentation time slots will be allocated to provide a balanced schedule for attendees.

Session topics should focus on the social studies disciplines, or methods and teaching strategies, or relate to the theme "Building Bridges Across the Disciplines." Sessions will be 50 minutes long. Clinics will be offered on Sunday only and will be one or two hours long.

The deadline for proposal submission is Monday, December 2, 2013. Accepted presenters will be notified by Friday, January 3, 2014.

All presenters, including co-presenters, who are accepted must register to attend the conference, but will receive the discounted presenter rate of $90.

Exhibitors who also present: Exhibitor fee replaces the required conference registration.

Should your session be accepted, please be aware that you, as lead presenter, are responsible for notifying co-presenters regarding the status of this proposal--including date, time, and location.
