Request for One Weekend Exemption to KHSAA Bylaw 9
A member school, through its Principal or Designated Representative, may request to have the restrictions of Bylaw 9 waived for one weekend for specific boys basketball team members. Such may not be done to allow play as a unit, and approval will only be given if it is apparent that the students are traveling as individuals.
There is no application necessary for girls to have the exemption on the NCAA approved dates (which are released in August). For the girls, this weekend coincides with the NCAA Division I recruiting calendar exemption for this year.
Complete this form, and if approved, you will receive acknowledgement and approval notice. The request must be completed not less than three (3) days prior to the start of the event.
