The Washington ACTE's Professional Development Committee invites you to submit a presentation proposal for the 2013 WA-ACTE Summer Conference.

"Career and Technical EDGE...Setting the Standard"
August 11-14, 2013 – Yakima WA
Yakima Convention Center

Hosted by WA-ACTE and Endorsed by Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board

CTE educators know how important it is to have high-quality professional development that will help them to continually improve as a professional. They also know that the best professional development comes from their colleagues who are willing to share and collaborate with others. If you are willing to share the good work you are doing and provide an opportunity to collaborate with other educators, please take this opportunity to showcase what your district and/or school are doing to improve and advance CTE.

We are looking for sessions to be interactive, engaging, and based on best practices that offer relevant and applicable "how-to" steps that attendees can use to develop a plan of action to incorporate their new learning back home.

Target audiences are CTE and academic instructors, building administrators, and guidance counselors.

Call for Presenters: Anyone interested in presenting needs to complete and submit the following details.

To be a presenter we ask that you register for conference - you do not need to register if you are coming just to do your presentation and will not be staying for any of the conference.

Lead Presenter Discount:
A $50 discount will be taken off registration for confirmed lead presenters after receipt of digital format of conference materials to the conference web community (see #13).

Deadline:
Proposals must be received thru "SurveyMonkey" by Tuesday, March 26, 2013.
Accepted proposals will be notified by April 30, 2013. Submit a separate form for each proposal.

All presentation materials must be posted to the WA-ACTE Community website by the presenter prior to July 26, 2013, to receive conference discount. The WA-ACTE Community "Link" will be emailed with your presentation confirmation email.

Presenter will provide handouts at a minimum of 50 sets per session.
