1. Out & Equal UCLA Anderson 2012 LGBT Leadership Institute Scholarship

Out & Equal Workplace Advocates, in cooperation with the UCLA Anderson School of Management, is offering a full tuition scholarship to one of several prestigious Leadership Institutes for a qualified person who identifies as a member of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The application process for the scholarship is being designed and administered by the Out & Equal People of Color Advisory Committee, with the scholarship winner to be selected by an independent panel of Leadership Institute alums, and subject to the final approval by the LGBT Leadership Institute admissions team.

The Leadership Institutes are a five-month experience centered on a three-day, on-campus immersion in releasing an attendee's leadership potential. The program includes: a three day on-campus session, a web conference program kick-off, a Birkman Assessment, a leadership capabilities assessment, three individualized coaching sessions, two coaching cluster web conferences, an action journal, and educational materials.

The Leadership Institutes are designed for individuals who have experience managing people or projects (or both) and have five years or more management experience. Attendees will have experience in identifying and working through the leadership challenges and opportunities faced by managers in a corporate, public sector, entrepreneurial or nonprofit environment.

A successful scholarship recipient will have at least five years of management experience combined with demonstrated leadership across the LGBT community and the African American or Latino/Latina communities.

The deadline for completing the application is Friday, October 14, 2011.
