SEPA is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for electric utility staff to attend Solar Power International. The spirit of the scholarships is to encourage attendance from utility staff that would not otherwise be able to attend due to budgetary and/or travel restrictions. Scholarship Details and Terms:
· Scholarship recipients will receive complimentary full conference registration, and a travel stipendup to $1,000 for coach airfare and hotel stay (receipts reimbursed).
· Only one scholarship is available per utility- per event, and is available only to utilities.
· Applicants must be at a management level or above.
· Municipal, cooperative, and investor-owned utility staff are eligible.
· Geographic location, utility-type, and SEPA membership status will be considered to ensure a diversity of recipients.

Deadlines and Requirements:
· Applications are due by Friday, June 15, 2012 and applicants will be notified no later than June 25, 2012 about whether they have been selected to receive a scholarship for SPI.
· Scholarship winners must purchase their flight and reserve their hotel and provide their itinerary no less than month prior to the specific conference to secure their scholarship. If we do not receive this your scholarship will be forfeited. Specific dates will be distributed to the scholarship recipients.
· Individuals representing utilities that are not currently SEPA members must agree to consider SEPA membership and schedule one conference call between relevant utility staff and SEPA staff within 90 days following the conference to discuss the utility's solar activity plans and potential SEPA membership.
· Following the event, scholarship recipients must complete a brief report (max. half page) and submit with their receipts for reimbursement. Topics can include: what they learned from attending a specific session, what knowledge from the event they will bring back to their utility, how this event may have changed your thinking on a particular subject, etc. More information will be distributed to scholarship winners.
