New Yorkers For Children (NYFC) with generous sponsorship from BNY Mellon is excited to to present this conference for youth in foster care, ages 16-23, who may not be college bound, explore the professional world and different opportunities available to them. The day-long conference helps youth gain a greater understanding and confidence in resume writing, goal setting, and interviewing skills, in addition to providing them with the opportunity to meet myriad New York City organizations that provide vocational training and/or employment readiness programs.
There will be a few organizations present at the Resource Fair that have paid internships, so please bring copies of resumes! There will also be opportunities to practice interviewing skills with BNY Mellon employees.
