WELCOME TO 2011 PEER GROUPS REGISTRATION!
Dear NUEA Member:
The NUEA West is launching 2011 Peer Groups! Peer Groups are a great way to network with and learn from established NU alumni. The Peer Group Leaders represent successful actors, screenwriters, executives, TV writers, and others.
Here are some Peer Group guidelines. PLEASE READ THESE AND CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE DONE SO BEFORE CONTINUING:
1. You must be a NUEA member (membership dues paid through 2011) to participate. If you are unsure of your membership status, please e-mail info@nueawest.org; to join or renew, visit http://www.nueawest.org/membership.htm.
2. Peer Groups are no longer filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The program began as the NUEA's spin on a mentorship program, and this year we are taking Peer Groups back to their roots, focusing on getting peer group leaders and members invested in their relationships with one another. Once you complete the registration process for your group(s) of interest, you will need to wait for confirmation of your placement from the Peer Group Coordinator.
3. With your NUEA membership you can participate in one Peer Group for FREE. If you want to participate in more than one Peer Group, you will be billed $30 per each additional Peer Group, unless otherwise noted. If you participated in a Peer Group in the past, you are welcome to join a new Peer Group this year.
4. Peer Group Leaders will facilitate three Peer Group meetings, which will typically meet monthly between late September/early October and early December, 2011.
5. When you sign up, please make a commitment to attend all three sessions. We have listed the times and locations (when available) for you to check your availability.
6. If you miss sessions of your Peer Group without giving notice to your Peer Group Leader, you will be automatically waitlisted for next year's Peer Groups.
After the Peer Groups have met three times with their Peer Group Leaders, we encourage the Peer Group participants to continue meeting. We hope these friendships and networks will be helpful as you traverse this town.
