2010 Junior Sailing Registration

1. Great Harbor Yacht Club Junior Sailing Registration

The Great Harbor Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program is designed to provide sailing instruction in a safe and fun environment by encouraging each youngster to develop his/her skills, knowledge and confidence, at his/her own pace. Beginner, Intermediate and Racing level classes are offered throughout the summer.
Our first-class instructors provide a curriculum that develops self-reliance, self-confidence, sportsmanship and respect for other people and property. Each one or two-week session allows sailors to become competent in boat handling in all conditions. The instructors provide structure and discipline and above all, make it fun for everyone.

Our fleet includes four 420’s, ten Opti’s, two Sunfish, two Lasers, six Rhodes 19’s and two Beetle Cat’s. GHYC provides the best student-to-instructor ratio on Nantucket, giving students more one-on-one instruction.

PLEASE NOTE, OUR JUNIOR PROGRAM REGISTRATION WILL OPEN TO NON-MEMBERS ON MAY 15, 2010. Be sure to tell your house guests and friends that non-members can participate in the program (if sponsored by a member). Register your child early before the classes fill.
