“Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) is defined as diagnostic testing at or near the site
of care.”
Thank you for participating in this needs assessment survey for the UC Davis-Lawrence
Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) Point-of-Care (POC) Technologies Center. The
goal of this survey is to identify the clinical diagnostic needs for emergency and disaster
care. Your participation will help develop new diagnostic devices to meet these needs at
the point of care.
Established in 2007, the UC Davis-LLNL POC Technologies Center develops novel
diagnostic devices, testing methods, and interpretive tools that will help eliminate health
disparities by making predictive, preemptive, preventive, and personalized care
accessible to all communities. Our Center is a National Institute of Biomedical Imaging
and Bioengineering (NIBIB) funded site.
The following survey is divided into three sections: 1) General Information, 2) Device
Design, and 3) Pathogen Test Cluster Design. If there are any questions, or if you do
not understand the instructions please contact us at any time for clarification. Please
send any inquiries to (Ph: 530-752-4702, Fax: 530-752-4548, Email: poctcenter@ucdavis.edu).
