Model Lessons in a Model Classroom—2008 Session Evaluation
Purpose of Model Classroom Evaluation
We are asking for your feedback to this type of session format as well as your feedback for the particular session you attended. Here is some background information to consider when evaluating the Model Lesson format:
Model Lesson (in a Model Classroom)—requires at least 2 presenters. First teaches an actual lesson to 20 attendees playing role of students. Second acts as emcee, simultaneously explaining the lesson and the classroom management/instructional strategies being implemented to the remainder of attendees observing. Content should demonstrate taking advantage of technology and the latest learning theories such as project-based learning and differentiated instruction.
In the proposal submission process, presenters are asked to be the teacher, while the attendees play the role of students. The idea is to create more interactive, learn-by-doing environments at NECC that take advantage of technology and the latest learning theories such as project-based learning and differentiated instruction.
