Dear Alumni:

The department of Polymer and Fiber Engineering (PFEN), formerly the department of Textile Engineering, employs a variety of surveys to collect information about the success of the “program educational objectives” as well as “student outcomes”. This task is part of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accreditation process, which requires our department to define “program educational objectives” and “student outcomes” and to establish an assessment procedure to determine whether these goals are being achieved.

This Alumni Survey will allow you the opportunity to rate the department in each of the areas that have been identified as “program educational objectives” and “student outcomes”. In addition, you will be able to provide valuable feedback to us by responding to a series of questions about your experiences since graduating from Auburn.

The results of this survey will be used by the department to improve the program. Your participation in this process is crucial and very much appreciated.

We estimate that this survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please be assured that all responses are kept confidential. No demographic information that could be used to identify the respondent are reported with the survey results. If you would like for us to contact you in regards to your responses to this survey you will have an opportunity at the end of the survey to indicate that desire.

We will be awarding a prize by random drawing of survey participants on July 31.
