CCMP Survey

1. CCMP Interest Survey

The Comprehensive Clinical Management Program (CCMP) is the next step in the evolution of EMS in Texas. Even though the CCMP is offered as a “recertification” option, it is truly an EMS provider function. The CCMP is not simply minimum standards that a provider must meet for a state license. It is a voluntary option that EMS providers may attempt in order to raise the bar in their communities. Operating a successful CCMP will require experience and resources that many providers will not want to dedicate on a full time basis. There is nothing wrong with that decision; participating in the CCMP is strictly voluntary. EMS providers that choose to attempt this option are doing so of their own free will and accept the higher standards imposed by a program such as the CCMP.

TETAF has visited with the Texas Department of State Health Services regarding the possibility of TETAF becoming a surveyor for the CCMP process. TETAF and DSHS would like to gauge how broad the interest is in pursuing CCMP certification by EMS providers. Your responses will help determine how TETAF should move forward with CCMP. Thank you for your time in responding to this quick survey.

11. Fees for a CCMP survey process have not been determined. If TETAF were to become an approved surveyor the main objective in assessing fees by TETAF would be to cover all surveyor and TETAF expenses associated with the survey. A minimum of two surveyors is required for each survey with the possibility that additional surveyors may be requested by the provider or by DSHS. What cost would create a significant obstacle for your EMS entity in becoming a CCMP approved entity?

12. Would your EMS entity be interested in pursuing CCMP?

13. What barriers may prevent your EMS entity from pursuing CCMP?
