I am conducting a research project whose focus is knitters and the knitting community. The objectives of this project are to collect and document stories which reflect knitters’ sense of their community, and of their lives as knitters; and to document knitters’ interactions with the non-knitting community, their sense of the attitudes of non-knitters towards the knitting community, and the impact, if any, that those attitudes have on knitters.

Participation in this study can take two forms. The first is to fill out this survey. At the end, you will be offered the option of volunteering to participate in a follow-up interview. Further information about this interview is included on the last page. You do not have to participate in the interview for your survey results to be included in the study.
