Winter Funding Application 2009-2010

Thank you for applying for winter research travel funding at HKS. For your convenience, we provide a common application for several HKS sources of winter funding, as listed in question 1. For specific fund information, instructions, eligibility requirements, and deadlines, please see the Centers' respective websites. (If you are working with a partner, only one application is needed per project.)

The application deadline is Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 5 pm.

In addition to this online application, you must submit the following in hard copy or by email to EACH center you are applying to:

- Description of your project (500 words) including work already completed, methodology, a clear explanation of why the proposed travel is necessary for the project, and an explanation of how your project relates to the mission(s) of the center(s) to which you are applying -- a copy of your Prospectus is fine if it contains all this information;
- Itemized budget, including funds applied for or received through other sources;
- Timeline, including travel dates, itinerary and the schedule for your project;
- Resume;
- Transcript (unofficial is fine);
- (Hefner fund applicants only) Letter of recommendation from Harvard affiliate familiar with your project
