California's Prop 8 and Where We Go From Here
Marriage Equality USA (MEUSA) is a volunteer-driven, national non-profit organization devoted to securing marriage equality at the state and federal level without regard to sexual orientation or gender identity.
On November 4th, there were four anti-gay ballot initiatives passed: Proposition 8 in California, Proposition 102 in Arizona, Proposition 2 in Florida and Proposition 1 in Arkansas. MEUSA is partnering with local organizations to host community forums throughout California so we can solicit feedback on the efficacy of this state's campaign strategies and gather our community's collective wisdom on how to move ahead in securing marriage equality and protections for all families. In addition, we have created this on-line survey to collect information from our community both within California and in the other 49 states on the status of marriage equality and where we go from here.
The survey is divided into five sections: this introduction, evaluation of Prop 8 campaign and/or status of marriage equality in your state, where we go from here, personal stories, and demographics information. In order to progress through this suvery, click "Next" to go to the next section, "Prev" to return to go back to an earlier section, and "Done" to submit your results. The survey results will remain confidential, but in the last section, we do provide a space for your contact information if you are willing to discuss your survey results further and/or are willing to share your personal stories.
Your opinion and personal stories are important to us and we thank you in advance for your time.
