1. Arts and Culture Commission Survey
The mission of the El Cerrito Arts and Culture Commission (ACC) is to assist in making El Cerrito an exciting and successful arts and cultural community. The ACC meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
In January 2006, the City Council approved an Arts in Public Places program which requires developers to provide public art, or an in-lieu contribution, equal to an amount of 1% of the development costs for a project. This program established a Public Arts Fund that would be funded by such contributions.
The ACC is seeking the community's help to outline how the mission of the ACC can be implemented into the community, as well as how to spend Public Art Funds, with the intent of building a flourishing and vibrant arts and cultural community.
