French Summer Language Institute for French teachers!!

After its extremely successful Summer Language Institute for Spanish teachers in Guanajuato, Mexico, Southern Oregon University is developing a summer language institute for French teachers. The program will be conducted on site in France or Quebec. Our program, modeled after the Spanish SLI, is specifically designed for the needs of high school, middle school, and community college language teachers. It will provide an option to complete a Master's degree in French Language Teaching over the course of three summers. The program will include instruction on the latest in second language pedagogy, as well as courses to improve individual teacher language proficiency and cultural understanding. The program has a unique curricular model, linking courses on language, culture, and literature with pedagogical courses on the same topic.
