1. SMALL GROUP MINISTRY SURVEY
In our mission to "build a Unitarian Universalist Community that transforms lives and empowers people to serve the world," one of our primary tasks is to build connections among UUFR's many members and friends. Many people come through our doors looking for opportunities for spiritual exploration, mutual support, or simple friendship with kindred spirits. One of the primary ways we can meet these needs is through small group ministries.
There are two kinds of small group ministries at UUFR:
FELLOWSHIP CIRCLES are small groups of up to a dozen people who meet monthly in members' homes or in a similar setting. Fellowship Circles are not casual or drop-in groups, but instead expect a degree of commitment after an initial trial period. In order to create a closer sense of trust and community, Fellowship Circles are generally closed to newcomers after the group forms.
In contrast, COMMON INTEREST GROUPS are more casual and may include somewhat larger groups (such as the Young Adult Ministry). Meetings may be held at UUFR or off-site -- they are open and members may attend on a drop-in basis.
