Purpose, Risks, and Benefits:
You are invited to participate in a project concerned with examining your experiences in public places. There are no known risks or benefits to participating in this study. To protect the integrity of the research, we cannot fully reveal to you the hypotheses at this time. The only restrictions to participating in this research are fluency in English, being 18 years old or older, and identifying as FEMALE. If you are not fluent in English, under 18 years old, or MALE please stop reading now and discontinue the survey.
If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a survey, which includes questions about your experiences in public places. Some of the questions on the survey will ask about your personal experiences and emotional reactions. If you would be uncomfortable answering these types of questions, you should discontinue the survey now. The total session time will be approximately 30-45 minutes. You will complete this survey at your convenience on your computer. After agreeing to this informed consent, you will begin the survey.
Any information obtained in connection with this study will be strictly anonymous. In any written reports or publications, no one will be identified or identifiable and only aggregate data will be presented. We expect approximately 250 participants to participate in this research.
Your participation in this study is voluntary. You may withdraw at any time without penalty, by simply closing your web browser, at which point all records of your participation will be destroyed.
