St Andrew's Old Church Community Survey
1. St Andrew’s Old Church Heritage and Cultural Centre
St Andrew’s Old Church is the only remaining structure of the mediaeval village of Kingsbury. It is the Borough of Brent's only Grade I listed building, and probably its oldest. A truly magical site, it is an oasis within Brent’s urban surroundings, a stone's throw from all the new development of Wembley. The story of the site includes many notable historic characters, from the Knights of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem to King James I, John Bull, and more recently, William Gladstone. For one thousand years St Andrew’s Old Church has borne witness to the dramas, celebrations and milestones in peoples’ lives.
The vision is to bring it back to life as a vibrant and dynamic Heritage and Cultural Centre connecting it with the wider community. But we can’t bring it back to life without your help…
Part of the process in taking the project forward is talking to the Brent community to make sure that the new space provides activities for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy.
We would therefore hugely appreciate you volunteering approximately 15 minutes of your time and giving your thoughts and opinions on the development of the project.
The project is being led by an independent arts charity, Drama Workhouse (www.dramaworkhouse.org.uk)that have secured funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to find out what you think.
The deadline for completing the survey is Friday 9th July.
All completed surveys will be automatically entered into a prize draw and two participants will be selected at random to each win a £50 high street shopping voucher.
Thank you in advance for volunteering your precious time to complete the survey. With your help we can make it happen.
