The Code of Virginia requires 180 days each school year. To meet this requirement, FCPS currently develops its calendar with 185 teaching days (180 teaching days plus five makeup days). For the purpose of developing the FCPS calendar for school year 2010-2011 and beyond, we seek your opinion on specific issues regarding the school year calendar.

IMPORTANT: Please give careful consideration to your answers, in particular how one preference impacts another. For example: A post-Labor Day opening would likely mean a shorter Winter Break and/or Spring Break or later last day of school.
