This survey looks at your experience and views of social marketing, contrasting them with 'traditional' types of public relations activity/campaigns. Please complete by 5pm on Friday 10 July.

1. Have you ever been involved in a piece of work based on social marketing methodology or carried out a social marketing campaign? If your answer is 'no' then please go straight to question three.

2. Either through evaluation built into the social marketing campaign or reflecting upon your work subsequently, would you describe it as a success? Please explain.

3. What would you say are the advantages and/or disadvantages of social marketing over a public relations/communications based campaign?

4. "Social marketing is just good public relations/communications". To what extent do you agree or disagree with that statement?

5. Where do you think social marketing should sit within organisations? Do you, for example, think it is a function of communications/public relations, marketing, another department, or should it exist as a standalone operation?
