The Michigan Coalition for Health Information Technology (MCHIT) is a broad-based, collaborative effort of individuals and organizations across the state to enhance and promote interoperable health information technology (HIT). Recently, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act called for an investment of $48.8 billion to drive health information technology (health IT). Workforce development grants will be issued to train new personnel and assist displaced workers in the field of health IT. We are interested in hearing from your organization to further assist educational institutions in planning new training programs to match your employment needs. The results from this survey will help meet the needs of the market place and direct grant opportunities for a robust HIT workforce. Millions of dollars will be spent in the health IT field and this is a great opportunity to mold and prepare Michigan workers.
Please see our web site at www.mchit.org for more information about the coalition in general. Also, feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this survey, the coalition, or other ways to get involved. You may attach or send additional information to Jennifer Tomaszczyk. The questionnaire will take approximately 5 minutes.
Thank you for taking the time to participate in this questionnaire.
