1. Cruiser's Choice

In the normal course of my current job, I don't cruise much timber - our techs do the bulk of that work. However, we recently completed a couple large inventories (2,000 and 500 plots respectively) that required every able-bodied forester to pitch in - even me. Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel ...

As I was busting through the bushes, I came up with a couple questions along the lines of "Coke or Pepsi?" as to preferences in timber stand conditions and forest inventory methods.

If you're a forester working in the south, I thought it'd be fun to quiz folks on their experiences. Have fun and pick your poison wisely!
