. Many games provide achievements as motivations for play, for example completing the game on different levels of difficulty, completing sub quests or just killing X number of enemies. However it can be very hard for players to show off such achievements.
Now imagine for a moment that there was a virtual world that effectively linked to numerous (potentially all) games that you own. Achievements completed in any game world would carry over to this virtual world, where the player would now find they had access to new areas in the virtual world, or new equipment for their virtual world avatar. This would therefore provide a way to ‘show off’ game accomplishments in this Virtual World.
