Career Pathways Economic Development Summit Survey

As a leader in economic development and workforce development training, Southwest Virginia Community College is working with the Southwest Virginia Workforce Investment Board to play an active role to assist regional business and industry partners with recruiting and retaining the kind of highly skilled workforce required to compete in an increasingly competitive global economy.

The college is partnering with the Center for Occupational Research and Development (CORD) and the Clements Group in conducting research to prioritize high wage, high demand, and high skill regional career pathway development; expand postsecondary internship and work-based learning opportunities.

The survey process is an opportunity to foster conversation and stimulate collaboration across multiple partner and stakeholder groups such as: K-12 education, postsecondary educational institutions, workforce development, economic development, government, and business. Together we strive to improve worker skills, skill levels, and certifications through alignment of educational curricula with the job requirements of business and industry within the region.

Please be assured that your response to this survey is completely confidential and that your name will not be associated with any comments shared. Also, please note that results from this survey come directly to the Clements Group and are not handled by the college at any level.
