The Missouri State University is conducting this needs assessment for a proposed Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree program. The practice doctorate has an emphasis on leadership and practice in the community. This doctorate addresses the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) mandate that all advance practice nurses graduating by 2015 be prepared at the doctoral level.
