1. Socio-economics and language in Southern Illinois

I, Jamie Wolf, am a student from Dr. Christina Voss' English 300-2 Language Analysis class at SIUC. For my Fall 2008 project I am researching the effects socio-economic factors have on language and dialect in Southern Illinois. This survey does not need the consent of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Human Subjects Committee (HSC), because I am using this information as an in-class activity only; it is anonymous, and not for publication; I am not taking any blood samples; and I am not surveying minors. The deadline for taking this survey is Wednesday, November 12th, 2008. If you would like to receive the results of this survey, please feel free to email me at jamie.wolf@grammar300.com. This survey will take you about 10 minutes to complete. Thank you very much for your time.
