Sustainability is the concept of meeting present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. To achieve a sustainable relationship with our earth, humanity needs to integrate preservation of the environment with stimulation of economic growth and improvement of society.

Sustain BC is a committee of faculty, staff and student volunteers formed Spring 2007. Our goal is to work with the administration, faculty, staff and students to make Boston College a truly sustainable institution, in our practice, how we educate students and what we study.

This survey will help us learn the level of BC community interest in a sustainability-themed curriculum. Information gathered can help set curriculum development strategies.

Your responses are anonymous, and your identity will be confidential. A list of sustainability-themed courses will be generated and released to the BC community through www.bc.edu/sustainability. Other results from the survey will only be reported in aggregate and no individuals will be identified.

Would you volunteer 10 minutes of your time to help us help our community?
