. The activity level of a club can be illustrated using a wave. When a club is active and has a good, strong board, it is at the top or peak of the wave. When a club doesn't have strong leadership to maintain it, it slowly slides down the wave on its way to the bottom where it will remain inactive until there are leaders who can build the club back up.
