Brookings Food Co-op is a cooperatively owned grocery store that will open in Brookings, South Dakota with your support. The co-op will have a significant focus on organic, natural and locally grown and produced items. We are committed to offering co-op members and our community the opportunity to purchase products which promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as support local growers and support practices which do not deplete our environment.

·Anyone would be able to shop at the co-op, however member/owners have a say in store operation through voting rights
·A member/ownership is one household
·Member/owners receive savings on groceries and have the option to order by the case
·Member/owners receive patronage refunds at the end of each profitable fiscal year
·Profits from the store go back to member/owners and back into the store (all profits stay in the community, rather than going to outside investors.)
