Equality and Diversity Information Needs

NHS North West is planning to build an online library of quantitative and qualitative equality data, as well as references to other resources that can help inform a wide range of activities where an understanding of population, workforce and service user diversity is essential.

The purpose of this survey is to help inform and prioritise planning in terms of the kinds of users and the kinds of information that are needed.

We've made the questionnaire short so that it should not take more than a few moments to complete. We don't ask for your name but we do ask some basic questions about your work so that we can understand how needs may differ between different kinds of potential user.

*
1. What kind of organisation do you represent? (Pick one)

*
2. What role (or roles) do you fulfil in the above organisation?

*
3. Which of the following do you produce or deliver? (Tick all that apply)

*
4. Which are the equality areas where you have the greatest need for information at the moment? (Tick all that apply)

5. Which are the equality areas where you find it relatively EASY to obtain information?

6. Please can you provide examples of recent searches you've carried out for data or information?

E.g. Codes of practice, Sections under the Mental Health Act by ethnicity in your area.

*
7. Is any information you need 'sensitive' (in the sense that restricted access might need to be provided for certain kinds of user such as NHS staff vs external stakeholders)?

8. How often do you think you will use a regional information library when it is available?

*
9. Which sources do you currently consult when looking for information to support Equality and Diversity work? (Tick all that apply)

10. What data and information do you have in your own collection which you would be willing and able to share with other organisations by contributing to the library?

(E.g. EIAs, local demographic data, regional reports or national briefings)
