1. FOA Program Information
As part of the Fraternal Organization Agreement (FOA), fraternities and sororities are required to have at least 75% of their chapter attend and participate in educational programs addressing six distinct program areas:
- Alcohol & Drugs
- Diversity & Discrimination
- Liability
- Hazing
- Personal Health & Safety
- Sexual Assault
In general, programs that are referenced in the Resource Guide or enlist the organizations/agencies listed in the Resource Guide will satisfy the FOA expectation. To ensure that a program will satisfy the requirement, chapters are strongly encouraged to contact the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. A copy of the Resource Guide can be accessed at: http://www.virginia.edu/fsl/resource.html
For programs that fall outside of the realm of the Resource Guide, chapters or organizations are asked to complete the following form to determine if a program can satisfy the FOA expectation.
