Welcome to the Office of Veterans Affairs University Employee Registration. To better assist all those who served, are serving and are now part of the YSU community, we hope you take a few minutes to register to be a member of the Veterans Network at YSU. Members of the VN agree to recognize the status of students who have served or are serving in the armed forces of our nation. This recognition may include being involved in some of the following activities:

• Establishing your name in the Veteran Network
• Online and hard copy resource reference guidebook
• Establishing yourself as a referral willing to talk to (a) veteran(s)
• 1:1 / small groups (5 or less) / family members
• Recruitment sessions
• Serve as group discussion leader regarding veteran issues
• Indicating your office or work area as a Veteran Friendly Zone (VZ)
• Volunteering your time and talent to your selected Veteran programming:
  • Orientation (speaking/set-up/coordinating)
  • Veterans’ Day Ceremonies (Reading of the Names)
  • Set-up, coordinating
  • 411’s (info sessions)
  • Campus and off site recruitment
  • Tutoring
• Participate in focus/discussion groups and opinion polls regarding veteran issues
