The ISTTF (Internet Safety Technical Task Force) Report and Process
1. WiredSafety's ISTTF Survey
For the last nine months several of the leaders in cybersafety, of the Internet and social networking industry, technology providers and Harvard professors have joined together to review the risks our children face online (especially in social networks) and ways to use technology to make them safer. In particular, we were asked to address the risks posed by Internet sexual predators and sexual exploitation of minors, as well as technology that might help keep the safer and keep underage users off of these networks. Finding out what the general public thinks about the findings and the process will help us gauge next steps. Please answer the following twelve questions. Your response is anonymous and the results will be used to help create better safety messaging and policies.
