Study on body image, self esteem and romantic partners

Participant information:

• Thank you for your interest in this study.

• The purpose of this study is to learn about people’s perceptions of body images and the qualities they look for in a romantic partner.

• The study involves completing an online questionnaire, including questions about your height and weight, self esteem and desired characteristics in a romantic partner.

• The study will take about 10-15 minutes.

• The questionnaire is completed anonymously, and all data collected in this study will be kept completely confidential. Your responses will not be passed on to any third-parties and will only be used for academic research.

• If you choose to participate in this research, you are free to withdraw at any time.

• This research is being conducted by Nicola Smith, an MSc student at the Institute of Cognitive & Evolutionary Anthropology, University of Oxford, 64 Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 6PN and is being supervised by Dr. Maxwell N. • This study has been reviewed and approved by the University of Oxford Central University Ethics Committee. There are no risks involved in the study.
