You are being asked to participate in a research study. The person in charge of this research, Jamie Lynn Robitaille, is available via email at Jamie.lynn.robitaille@gmail.com to answer any questions you may have. Your participation is entirely voluntary. You can refuse to participate without penalty. You can stop your participation at any time and your refusal will not impact current or future relationships with UT Austin or participating sites. The purpose of this study is to investigate Super Bowl viewer’s recall rates of various advertisements.

If you agree to be in this study, you will take two online surveys regarding advertisements aired during the Super Bowl. The first will be elicited approximately two weeks before the game while the second will be sent within 48 hours of the event.

Total estimated time to participate in the study is approximately 15 minutes per survey.

Risks of being in the study: There will not be any known physical, psychological, social, or legal risks involved in this study.

Benefits of being in the study: There are two discernible benefits. One is personal satisfaction in contributing to scientific research and the other is the opportunity to examine the game ads more closely.

Confidentiality and Privacy Protections: The data resulting from your participation will contain no identifying information that could associate you with it. Records of this study will be stored securely and kept confidential. Authorized persons from The University of Texas at Austin and members of the Institutional Review Board have the legal right to review your research records and will protect the confidentiality of those records to the extent permitted by law. All publications will exclude any information that will make it possible to identify you as a subject.
