The Keysborough campus is serviced by a bus system run in conjunction with the MET and the Grenda Corporation. Families who wish to use this network should read the information below. Students in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 at Brighton & Berwick campuses should also read this information.
Students at Keysborough (Senior School & Newlands) in 2010
For some years Haileybury has received support from the MET to provide a subsidised bus service for student travel to Keysborough across eighteen routes. These routes are subsidised by the School to an annual amount exceeding $250,000. In 2010, the School will continue to subsidise these services to existing levels.
Users of the system will again be asked to make a co-payment. This year the amount is $695 per annum (including GST). This works out at approximately $1.90 per one-way trip and is unchanged from 2009.
The co-payment will be charged in quarterly instalments of $173.75 (including GST) to your School family account. This will be billed separately from your tuition fees. A Haileybury Bus Pass will be issued as proof of payment.
All students traveling on the buses to Senior School and Newlands in 2010 will therefore be required to carry a Haileybury Bus Pass plus their Yearly Metcard and a MET ticket. Authorised Transport Officers and the School will enforce this requirement.
Special Notice for Students Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 at Brighton & Berwick.
Students in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 are required to travel independently to Keysborough on occasions each week. Students at Brighton and Berwick campuses who wish to use the Keysborough bus system for travel to and from home will be required to purchase a Limited Annual Ticket. The cost of this ticket is $295 (including GST), which is unchanged from 2009. It will be charged quarterly ($73.75 including GST) to your School account separately from your tuition fees. A Haileybury Bus Pass will be issued as proof of payment. A MET ticket will also be required.
Purchasing a Haileybury Bus Pass
Tickets may be ordered up until the final day of the School Year (4th December) and will be mailed to your home address during the holidays.

First child – Nil, Second child - 5%, Third child - 10%, Fourth and subsequent children – 25%
Any entitlement to sibling allowance will be calculated by the School and the cost adjusted accordingly once all of the application forms have been entered and processed.

If you have any questions, please contact your Campus Secretary.
A separate online application form must be completed for each child who requires a Haileybury Bus Pass.
This form must be completed by a parent/guardian as it requires the family to meet a financial obligation to the School.
