Special Purpose District Survey

In 2009, the Washington State Legislature eliminated funding for a program that provided advisory and informational services to special purpose districts on matters related to governance. MRSC is conducting this survey to determine if special purpose districts are interested in bringing back these services and possible additional services. This survey is intended to explore possible interest in a different model, one based on a service or membership fee.

1. Have you heard about MRSC?

2. Have you ever used the MRSC website (www.mrsc.org)?

3. Have you ever called MRSC with a telephone inquiry or written MRSC with an e-mail request or inquiry?

4. To the best of your knowledge has anyone else in your organization ever called MRSC with a telephone inquiry or written MRSC with an e-mail request or inquiry?

5. The type of services that MRSC contemplates are described on the webpage that introduces this survey. MRSC would offer an array of services that are similar to those we currently offer to cities and counties throughout Washington state. Would these types of services potentially be of value to your organization?

6. If these services were offered, would you be willing to purchase an annual membership based upon the most recent annual operating budget of your district? Under this option, each district would pay an annual membership fee based on its most recent annual operating budget. Districts with larger operating budgets would pay more than the districts with smaller budgets. There would not be specific limits on the number of requests your district could submit, although we would reserve the right to limit the amount of time we spend on any given request.
