These applications are only for the students who are attending other CSU campuses during the winter session. The fee waiver program does not waive fees for the winter session at CSUN.

The CSU Fee Waiver and Reduction Program allows eligible California State University employees and their dependents to take 2 courses or 6 units, (whichever is greater) per semester at any CSU campus at a significantly reduced price. Only one person per semester may benefit from this program regardless of whether that participant is using the full entitlement of 2 courses or 6 units. Eligibility to this program is determined by the campus of employment (CSUN), however, the campus of enrollment determines fees and deadlines. Fee Waiver applies to general fund courses only. It does not apply to self-supported programs,such as Extended Learning.


Eligibility

(Unit 1)
All unit employees

(Units 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9)
Full-time state employees (i.e., permanent, temporary*, and probationary) and part-time permanent employees.

(Unit 3)
Tenured**, probationary, and temporary faculty who have at least 3 years of full-time equivalent service in the same department.

(Units 8, C99, E99, M98)
Full or part-time permanent employees and full-time probationary employees. (NO TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES)

(M80/MPP)
Full-time employees (includes temporary).

*Temporary employees must have a minimum continuous appointment of six months plus one day to be eligible.
**Faculty Early Retirement Program (FERP) employees are eligible for fee waiver only during the semesters/quarters that they are actively employed.
