1. New Jersey Historical Commission

Dear Museum/Historic Site staff member,

The New Jersey Historical Commission wants to encourage K-12 teachers to make use of our state's many fine historic sites and museums. To that end, we would like to put together an online database that teachers can use to help them teach state and local history to their students. Using this database, for example, a history teacher doing a lesson on New Jersey in the colonial era could find out about historic sites from that period in the area and the kind of services they offer to students, such as interactive websites, speakers who come into the classroom, and tours.

We have developed this brief survey to compile the most up-to-date and comprehensive list of relevant teaching resources. The survey should only take a few minutes, and all the information we collect will be used only to create this database, which will be made available on the Historical Commission's website. Your participation is greatly appreciated.

We would also appreciate any comments you have about how this database could be improved in the future.
