Parent and Carer Survey

1. Introduction

Parent Advocates Together (PAT) are supporting and empowering parents, carers and families to increase their confidence and ability to become effective advocates and champions for our children; especially for children who have disabilities or additional needs. We are recognised for providing a representative forum for parent's views and for speaking up for parents.

We are an unashamedly activist organisation and we believe that parents and carers should be respected as FULL care partners by all organisations departments and agencies delivering services to families.

We are conducting this survey to collect factual information that we can use to influence decisions and policies affecting parents, families and carers looking after children with additional needs.

Please help us by completing this brief questionnaire about your experience of being a parent or a carer for children with additional needs. There are only 12 questions and this survey will only take a few minutes of your time.

Your input is very valuable to us and YOUR contribution is important for ensuring that parents can advocate effectively for ourselves and for each other as partners in policymaking.
