The rubric’s rating scale is based on the American Association of School Librarians’ three-level scale: “Acceptable” is the required standard for our graduates, while “Target” indicates the level to be ideally achieved with experience and growth. In other words, some exceptional students may already work at the "Target" level in some areas, but we expect most to demonstrate professional readiness reasonable for a beginning media specialist.
