The Society of Women Engineers welcomes nominations for all Emerging Leader Awards. All nominations are to be submitted online. Please download the Emerging Leaders Packet from the SWE website www.swe.org under 'Awards, Individual' to view what is needed to complete your application. Please note that if you are applying for more than one award a separate submission for each award is required. Incomplete submissions, not including the letters of recommendation, will be removed from consideration.

The nomination deadline is May 1, 2006. Selections will be made by July 31, 2006. Awards will be presented in October 2006 at The Society of Women Engineers National Conference in Kansas City, MO.

Judging will be based on achievements in the area of the award (80%) and on community involvement and leadership activities (20%). Recipients will receive an award sculpture, up to $1,000 travel stipend for travel to the conference only, if needed, and visibility with other SWE Individual Awards presented at the National Conference.

A digital photo (head shot) and up to 3 letters of recommendation should be submitted electronically to awards@swe.org. Each Letter of Recommendation should be emailed from the recommender's email address.
