Work-based learning (WBL) leadership toolkit workshop
1. Overview
This survey will enable you to register for a demonstration of LSIS's online toolkit for work-based learning (WBL) providers.
The events, which are offered
free of charge to managers and leaders from WBL providers, offer an introduction to the WBL online toolkit and are suited either to senior leaders or to those individuals responsible for the leadership of elearning within the organisation.
The sessions will provide an ideal opportunity for you to take a personal tour and interact with the LSIS team to ask questions regarding effective implementation within your organisation, as well as networking with other senior managers. There will also be follow-up support to help you get the best out of this online toolkit.
The events will take place in:

- Remote* - 29 October 2009
- Birmingham - 10 November 2009
- Remote* - 25 November 2009
- Manchester - 8 December 2009
- Remote* - 10 December 2009
*The remote events are national online workshop demonstrations of the toolkits. Delegates will need a computer with internet access and a phone to attend the sessions.
The toolkit is an accessible resource that focuses on key strategic and operational issues and includes valuable learning and interactive modules, covering seven core business areas, to improve organisational effectiveness.
The topics are:
- Managing the operation
- Managing inspection
- Understanding the policy landscape
- Finance and funding
- Equality and diversity
- Elearning
- Guide to management and leadership.
Please note that numbers will be limited and we are inviting a maximum of three people from any organisation, so we recommend early booking.
