1. Welcome to the Higher Education Virtual Worlds and Social Media Survey!
This survey gathers information about technology use among higher education faculty, staff, and administration. Specifically, the survey is intended to gather insights about the use of social media and virtual worlds.
The survey is being conducted by Sarah Robbins (www.sarahrobbins.com). The results will be published by Elsevier Publishing (www.elsevier.com) in a series of papers to be released beginning in April 2009.
When the survey is completed we will hold a drawing for a Kindle! If you'd like to be entered in the drawing be sure to indicate that on the last page of the survey.
We'd also be happy to send you updates on the release of the reports if you'd like. You'll be asked if you'd like to receive updates on the last page of the survey.
Please know that if you choose to share your email address for the Kindle drawing or updates that it will be kept private. We value your privacy and do not share email addresses.
