1. Change ReACTion's Teen Stereotypes Survey (Adult Portion)
This summer the YSB is piloting a new youth development/leadership program based off the Participatory Action Research model. The goal is for students to pick an issue that is important to them and, as a group, learn different research methods that they will then use to examine the problem and come up with a solution-based plan on how to fix it.
For their topic, the group, which calls itself "Change ReACTion", selected how the media effects the relationship between teens and adults. They are examining how the media helps to select their role models and how it also creates stereotypes for teens.
The following survey will help us better understand how the media may create stereotypes for teens and the effect it may have on them. The survey is intended for residents of Middletown, however, the final question can be answered by anyone.
